About Us
River of Life Christian Church at Silicon Valley,
was established under the leadership of Rev. Tong Liu in 1995, to
fulfill the vision and mission from God to build a glorious church in
the 21st century. This is a continuation of the vision and mission
received by Rev. Zhao at Bread of Life Christian Church in Taiwan.
We believe that a glorious church begins with individuals’ lives.
The development of all-rounded individuals depends on four major levers
– Worship & Praise, Renewal by the Holy Spirit, Cell Church, and
World Missions. God will send miraculous changes and blessings to our
families, communities and nations through each of us.
Besides equipping our lives, God also led us to build 50 plus
daughter churches in Mongolia, Africa and North America in the past
years. The vision of River of Life Christian Church is to bring God’s
blessings and wonders to every corner of the world through our daughter
churches, as if a river enriches the surrounding soil as it travels
from the origin to its destination. We embrace the tradition of giving,
and firmly believe that "it’s better to give than to receive." We
faithfully trust our resourceful God is fond of our act of being fully
supportive of the needs of all daughter churches.
The first phase of the church building construction was completed in
July 2003. We moved to a site of approx. 10 acres conveniently located
in the hub of Santa Clara. We named our construction project, “A Home
for All Nations,” because we hope that our church can provide better
equipped evangelic activities and more diverse community services with
the new building. We also hope that we can build an “interactive”
bridge between the Kingdom of God and Silicon Valley or even the world
through our services.
The building of a glorious church is not a slogan in vain. It is the
channeling of blessings from God to more individual lives, families,
work places, communities, ethnic groups, and even to the whole world.
It is to make a difference in where we live by the persistent hard work
of the River of Life Christian Church. And all of these start with you
and me.
